Kendal and District Lions

Serving our community. Supporting local causes. Making a difference.

Welcome to Kendal and District Lions, a friendly group of volunteers working together to support people and organisations across Kendal and the surrounding area.

We meet at Stone Cross Manor Hotel at 7.30pm on the 3rd Monday of every month.

We have proudly serving and supporting our community for over 51 years.

As part of Lions Clubs International, we raise funds, organise community activities and give our time to help where it is needed most.

We support our community in many ways. We raise funds through our Charity Bookshop, provide dementia resources, give out Message in a Bottle containers, collect and recycle used spectacles, carry out eye screening in local primary schools, creative writing sessions and have created a community garden at Westmorland General Hospital for patients, visitors and staff to enjoy.

Working together to make a difference in our local community.

Helping Our Local Community

From fundraising events and practical support to donations for local groups and individuals, our focus is simple: helping people in our community.

What We Do

Fundraising

Supporting local organisations, individuals and families.

Giving our time and skills to projects across Kendal and the surrounding district.

Could You Be a Lion?

You don’t need any special qualifications to become a Lion — just a willingness to help.

Joining us is an opportunity to make a difference locally, meet new people and have some fun along the way.

Come along, meet us and find out what being a Lion is all about.

Support Our Work

Every donation and every hour volunteered helps us do more for our community.

Whether you donate, attend one of our events, volunteer or work with us on a community project, your support makes a difference.

Together, we can make a difference.
